Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and J AND B CREATIONS LLC for using Cohort (Cohort: Game Studio Tycoon). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The app, and the free game

Cohort is a single-player simulation game. The entire campaign is free and stays free. Every lever, every benchmark, and the full run are available without paying, and they are not time-limited and will not be taken away. Studio Pro adds content. It does not unlock access to the base game.

Purchases and prices

Cohort offers four optional in-app purchases, sold and processed by Apple through the App Store.

Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region and over time. The price shown to you at the moment of purchase is the price that applies.

How the subscriptions renew

For the two auto-renewing subscriptions, Studio Pro weekly and Studio Pro yearly:

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price for the plan you chose.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Turning off auto-renewal there stops future charges, and the current period continues until it ends.
• Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app, or use another device signed in to the same Apple Account, you can restore your purchases from within the app. Purchases are tied to your Apple Account.

Your licence to use the app

J AND B CREATIONS LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Cohort for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app, except to the extent the law allows.

Acceptable use

Cohort is a work of satire. Do not use the app to break the law, to interfere with its operation or security, or to attempt to circumvent purchases or the App Store.

Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, J AND B CREATIONS LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date below. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise. This does not affect mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app. Apple's own terms, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement, also apply to your use of the app. If any of these terms conflict with Apple's terms for App Store apps, Apple's terms prevail to the extent of the conflict for that subject.
